Building bridges to financial independence
RateSearch is built and operated by Mango Financial Group, a Melbourne-based mortgage broker helping Australians find the right home loan since 2022. We built RateSearch because we believe homeowners deserve a clear, honest answer about whether they're paying too much.
Find the perfect loan solution with our expert broker.
Who we are
Buying a home, or paying off a home loan, is one of the most significant financial decisions you'll make in your life. That's where Mango Financial Group comes in.
Our mortgage broking service is dedicated to helping clients find the best mortgage solution to meet their unique financial needs. With years of experience in the industry and a deep understanding of the ever-changing mortgage market, our team provides personalised guidance and support throughout the entire mortgage process.
We work with a wide network of 30+ Australian lenders, non-bank specialists, second-tier banks, and the big four, to offer clients a diverse range of mortgage options. That includes fixed and variable rate mortgages, first-home-buyer programs, refinancing, investment property loans, and SMSF lending.
Our brokers take the time to understand each client's goals and financial situation, and use that knowledge to help them make informed decisions about their mortgage. At Mango Financial Group, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and a seamless mortgage experience.
Why we built RateSearch
Most Australians have no idea whether they're paying too much on their home loan. The banks rarely volunteer the answer, and certainly don't tell their existing customers when newer customers are getting sharper rates.
RateSearch is our answer to that. It's a free, 60-second tool that compares your loan against current market rates from our panel of 30+ lenders, and gives you an honest verdict, yes or no, on whether you're overpaying.
No credit check. No spam. No obligation. Just the answer your bank won't give you.
If the answer is "yes, you're overpaying," we're here to help you fix it. If the answer is "no, you're doing fine," we'll tell you that too.
How the RateSearch comparison tool works
RateSearch is deliberately simple. There are four steps and the whole thing takes about a minute.
- 1. Tell us about your loan. Your loan balance, property value, current interest rate and years remaining. Enough to work out your loan-to-value ratio and what you are actually paying.
- 2. Tell us the shape of the loan. Owner-occupied or investment, principal and interest or interest only, and whether you have an offset account. These determine which lender pricing tier applies to you.
- 3. We compare against current lender pricing. Your rate is measured against the rates available on our panel for a borrower with your profile, not against a generic national average.
- 4. You get a verdict with real numbers. Where you sit against the market, the potential monthly and lifetime saving, and the lenders that fit your profile. If you are already on a competitive rate, the tool says so.
The tool shows indicative rates based on the information you provide. It is not a credit application, there is no credit check, and the result is not an approval or an offer of finance. Any actual rate depends on a full assessment by a lender.
Who is behind RateSearch
Shahmir Naqvi is the Director of Mango Financial Group and the person behind RateSearch. RateSearch was built in-house rather than licensed from a third party, so the rate data, the comparison logic and the advice that follows all sit with the same accountable team.
When RateSearch tells you there is a gap worth closing, a credit specialist from Mango Financial Group reviews your analysis personally before anyone contacts you. You are not handed to a call centre or sold as a lead to a third party.
